Earsel Dean Grayson

On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, Earsel “Dean” Grayson passed after a brief illness, at the age of 78.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Grace Ryskewich Grayson with whom he has two children Bonnie S. Ware of Greensboro, NC and Deana G. Snyder (Paul) from Bel Air, MD. He is survived by four grandchildren Brock Ware, Sharon Ware, Christopher Snyder and Grace Snyder.

He is also survived by his loving wife Judy Traylor Grayson of Ashland, Kentucky. Two step children, Tammy Clarke (David) of Carroll, OH and James Traylor (Pam Gullett) of Flatwoods; Also, four step Grandchildren Amanda Stewart, Jerry Traylor, Sarah Kauffman and Megan Pritchard and seven step great grandchildren.

Dean was born September 1, 1939 in Louisa, Kentucky, the youngest of twelve children. He is preceded in death by his parents Lace and Rachel Scarberry Grayson; five brothers Estill Grayson, Everett Grayson, Chester Grayson, June Grayson, and George Grayson; six sisters Callie Burch, Anna Grayson, Bessie Waddell, Irene Boggs, Millie Rowe, Pricey Grayson. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

He spent the majority of his career at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, MD at the motor pool and CSTA. He retired in 1997. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and relaxing at his winter home in Palmetto, FL

He will be sorely missed.
