We are sad to announce the passing of Earl Harold Wesley Seifert of Baltimore. He died at age 85 on June 24th, 2023. Earl passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Earl was predeceased by his wife, Doris Seifert, and his four brothers John Howard Seifert, William Seifert Jr., Charles Seifert and Raymond Seifert.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Tammy Webb and her two children, James and Samantha, and his son, Earl Scott Seifert and his wife, Kara, and their four children, Joshua, Benjamin and his wife Grace, Rebecca and Nathaniel.
Earl was born on March 4th, 1938, in Baltimore City, where he lived until he enlisted in the Army at age 17. After the Army, he joined the Baltimore City Fire Department where he served throughout the city and was ultimately promoted to Captain. Some of his favorite years were spent serving as Captain of the Mayor Thomas D’Alesandro Jr. Fire Boat. Earl was awarded commendations for his heroism in saving many lives. He was always recognized for his exemplary performance as a firefighter. Earl loved being with his family, watching Western movies, listening to Johnny Cash, boating and crabbing, riding his bike and rooting for his Baltimore Orioles. Earl was known to have outrun Barry Shetrone who could outrun Al Kaline at Southern High.
Earl will be remembered for all the love he shared with his family.
A celebration of life will be planned in the future for the immediate family.
