Earl F. Hess

EARL F. “BUD” HESS, age 94, of Monkton, died at Mariner Health of Bel Air on June 22, 2004. Born in Monkton, he was the son of the late Ella Louise Hess. Born and raised in Harford County, he worked on a farm during his teenage years and his twenties. He worked as a carpenter building houses for many years for Ward and Bosely and for the county in the highway division in Jarrettsville. He enjoyed hunting and cooking. He kept a garden.

Mr. Hess is survived by his cousins, whom he lived with for 39 years, Harold B. Hess and his wife, Evelyn “Bell” of Monkton. He is also survived by cousins, Walter Hess of Churchville; Clara Kregar of Forest Hill; and Carolyn Class of Baldwin and their families. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by cousin, Anna Louise Stiffler Hess.
