E. Ray Nelson

E. RAY NELSON, age 83, of Bel Air, died at Mariner Health of Forest Hill on January 10, 2005. Born in Grayson County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Ernie DeWitt and Laura Etta Reedy Nelson. He was retired from the State of Maryland after 25 years of service where he was an equipment supervisor. He enjoyed boating, camping, and fishing and was a mentor to his nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pauline Van Hoy Nelson; a son, Charles E. Nelson of Guysville, Ohio; a daughter, B. Louise Monks, of Churchville; two brothers, William R. Nelson and Keith R. Nelson, both of Forest Hill; a sister, Oneida Plummer of Bel Air; and three grandchildren, Bonnie Reese of Southerland, Virginia, Joan Vitek of Highland, and Rachel W. Nelson of Westminster.

Pallbearers will be: Rodney Vitek, Bruce England, Reeves Hawks, William Blackburn, Charles Freeburger and Thomas Jones.
