Respected and loved E. MAE FLEISHMAN, age 90, of Aberdeen, passed away peacefully at her home on February 24, 2005. Born in Rock Hall, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Monnie James, Sr. and Beryl Smith White, and the wife of the late William Jacob Fleishman. She was a graduate of Towson High School and Strayer Business College. She worked as a medical secretary for the University of Maryland Medical Center and retired from W.R. Grace. She enjoyed teaching shorthand at Eastern High School. For 22 years she was a resident of Harford County and a member of Mt. Christian Church. She was a member of the Doll Walker Circle at the church. She was also secretary for AARP in Bel Air. She enjoyed calling her family and keeping everyone informed. She loved giving gifts to people. She liked all the Maryland Sports, the Orioles, the Terapins, and the Colts.
Mrs. Fleishman is survived by June Hoffman and her husband Herbert of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Jane Barker and her husband Dewey of Aberdeen; Nancy Harper of Cambridge; Bill Fleishman and his wife Mary of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Karen Smith of Virginia; Jeff Hoffman of Boulder, Colorado; Scott Hoffman of Mechanicsville, MD; Natalie Eberius of Bel Air; Amy Cummings of Churchville; Jon Harper of Cambridge; Ryan Harper of Connecticut; Stacy Fleishman of York, PA; Brad Fleishman of Shrewsbury, PA; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Monnie James White, Jr. and one sister, Ellen June Gemeny.
