E. Hugo Reed

E. Hugo Reed, age 78, of Conowingo, MD, died on October 8, 2008 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in New Hall, WV, he was the son of the late William Augustus and Alice Blanche Altizer Reed. A resident of Cecil County for 28 years, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served for five years. He worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground for 35 years where he was a mechanic, and enjoyed NASCAR, baseball and football.

Mr. Reed is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jeanne E. Hilditch Reed of Conowingo, MD; two sisters, Goldie Osborne of Conowingo, MD and Rebecca Gilespie of Rising Sun, MD; nephews, Jeremy M. Hilditch of Conowingo, MD and Stephen M. Hilditch of Rising Sun, MD; nieces, Emalie J. Hilditch of Conowingo, MD and Angela Hilditch of Rising Sun, MD; and many other nieces and nephews.
