E. Edwin Hanson

E. EDWIN HANSON, 78, of Edgewood, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on January 30, 2003. Born in Edgewood, he was the son of the late Emmord and Mary M. Gross Hanson. Retiring in 1977, he was the owner of a dairy farm on Trimble Road, Edgewood. A 1941 graduate of Bel Air High School, he was a private pilot out of Harford County. He enjoyed carpentry and was a finished carpenter and woodworker in his retirement.

Mr. Hanson is survived by his wife of 56 years, June Glaser Hanson; two sons, Stephen Emmord Hanson of Hillsborough, New Jersey and Andrew Scott Hanson of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Martha Sue Hanson, Ph.D. of Edgewood; a sister, Ruth Evans of Howard County; and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hanson was predeceased by a brother, Herman Hanson.

Pallbearers will be Martha Sue Hanson, Stephen Hanson, Andrew Hanson, Janet Parker, Steven Miller, and Charles Heinsohn.
