E. Earl Brown

EDWARD EARL BROWN, of Bel Air, died March 20, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD, at the age of 85.

Born in Jefferson, NC, he was the son of the late William Franklin and Ola Mary Marsh Brown.

Mr. Brown graduated from Healing Springs High School in Jefferson in 1940. He was the founder, owner, and operator of Harford Home Improvements Contracting Company; served as a deacon in the Oak Grove Baptist Church from 1957-1989 and in the First Baptist Church of Sebring, FL, from 1989 until his return to Harford County in 2005; and was a member of the Odd Fellows.

Mr. Brown is survived by two daughters, Irene Brown of Bel Air, MD and Mary Lee Samples and her husband, Richard, of Rising Sun, MD; a daughter-in-law, Linda Brown of Port Deposit, MD; two brothers, Worth Brown and his wife, Kathy, of Middle River, MD; and Dean Brown and his wife, Joyce, of Kingsville, MD; nine grandchildren and their spouses; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was predeceased by his wife, Ruth; his son, Bobby; and two sisters, Ruth Halstead and Maxine Simmons.

Pallbearers were his grandsons: Felipe Saenz, Eric Jones, Brian Samples, Jeffrey Samples, David Brown, and David Samples.
