E. David Gable Jr.

E. DAVID GABLE, JR., age 56, of Abingdon, MD, died on November 12, 2006, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Dorothy Brent McLain Gable of Abingdon, MD and the late Edward David Gable, Sr. He was the Chairman of the Board of a major telecommunication company. He was a professional singer for many years and enjoyed golf.

Mr. Gable is survived by his wife of 26 years, Helen B. “Susie” Whaley Gable of Abingdon, MD; two sons, David “Chris” Gable and his wife, Tammy, of Edgewood, MD, and Mark A. Gable and his wife, Dawn, of Forest Hill, MD; one step-son, Ray Norman; four brothers, John A. Gable of Florence, SC, Larry E. Gable of Abingdon, MD, Steven G. Gable of Bel Air, MD, and Louis C. Gable of Florence, SC; two sisters, Donna M. Ruff of Abingdon, MD, and Lois G. Bucher of Florence, SC; and seven grandchildren, Ashlea N. Gable and Maria E. Gable, both of Edgewood, MD, Patience C. Gable, Tye A. Gable and Nichole Gable, all of Forest Hill, MD, and Nicolette Norman and McKall Norman, both of Middle River, MD.

In addition to his father, Mr. Gable was predeceased by one brother, Michael W. Gable.
