DWIGHT D. BLOOM, age 53, of Forest Hill, died at his home on August 24, 2005. Born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, he was the son of Erna Vitousek Bloom and the late Mahlon Edward Bloom. He worked as a land management supervisor for the Edgewood area of Aberdeen Proving Grounds. He loved to cook and cater. He enjoyed being a DJ and was named “Hurricane”. He loved the islands and enjoyed coordinating tours to visit the islands. He was known for his creative pre-trip parties. He had been an Eagle Scout and was a fantastic graphic artist. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Bloom is survived by four sisters, Tanya H. Wersinger of Greenville, South Carolina, Denise F. Horner of White Hall, Irene M. Whalen of Bel Air, and Monica A. Goza of Springfield, Virginia; and 13 nieces and nephews.
