Dr. Paul Joseph Coyle

Dr. Paul Joseph Coyle, age 78, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on August 27, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Central Falls, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret O'Neill Coyle. He was a graduate of St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, RI; received his undergraduate degree at Providence College; Masters Degree at University of Rhode Island; and his Doctorate at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. In 1966 he moved to Maryland where he worked as a psychologist for Baltimore County Schools and also taught, in the 1970's, at Notre Dame College and Loyola College. He continued working at his private practice in Harford County for over 40 years. A Board Certified Psychologist, he was a member of the Maryland Psychological Association. An avid golfer and skier, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, and Lions Club and the Baltimore Ski Club.

Dr. Coyle is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynn Thomas Coyle of Bel Air, MD; son, Kevin P. Coyle and wife, Kim S., of Ashburn, VA; daughter, Kathy A. Cwieka and husband, James E., of Baltimore, MD, Karen C. Dietrick and husband, Dr. Keith Dietrick, of Wellington, FL; sister, Cynthia M. Coyle of Lincoln, RI; and grandchildren, Andrea K. and Christine L. Cwieka of Baltimore, MD, Ryenne N. and Aidan E. Dietrick of Wellington, FL, and Mason A. and Wade S. Coyle of Ashburn, VA.
