Dottie Linza was called to be with our Lord on April 17, 2012. For the past two and one half years, she received loving care as a resident of Calvert Manor Nursing Home in Rising Sun, Maryland.
Born November 21, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Christine Breckenridge Gervin and Louis Vito Pipkin. She married Carl Linza in 1948 and they were happily married for 63 years.
Dottie, along with her husband Carl, owned and operated The Bel Air Studio of Photography for 34 years and attained the honor of Master Craftsman of photography. For many years Dottie and Carl could be seen at Giovanni's Restaurant in Edgewood if not in their studio.
Mrs. Linza is survived by her husband Carl Linza, who continues to reside at Calvert Manor Nursing Home; a son Larry Wayne Linza of Kincheloe, Michigan; daughter Teri Larkin of Dallas, Texas; daughter Janis Thompson of Conowingo, Maryland; grandchildren Jason Croasdale of Aberdeen, Maryland; Tiffany Hall of Bel Air, Maryland; Tanya Frames of Towson, Maryland; Brett Sexton of Galax, Virginia; Larry James of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and Alicia Scharlow of Big Rapids, Michigan; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial is to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to Calvert Manor Resident Council Nursing Scholarship Fund (410-658-6555).
