Dorthea Nibali, age 88, of Joppa, MD, passed away on January 24, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Inwood, IA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Maria Jensen Pedersen and wife of the late Vincent Carl Nibali. A registered nurse, she ran a Post WWII Surgical Ward and during the time she was stationed in Germany in the 1950's, she adopted her children there. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and was very active at Trinity Lutheran Church. She also taught basket weaving classes for over 25 years.
Mrs. Nibali is survived by her son, John P. Nibali of Joppa, MD; daughter, Mara Nibali of Hot Springs, AR; brothers, Don and Leo Pedersen of Inwood, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
