Dorothy S. Waite

Dorothy S. Waite, age 92 of Bel Air, MD, passed away on July 5, 2012 at her home. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna M. Detwiler Snyder and wife of the late George C. Waite Jr. Before moving to Bel Air, she resided in Coatesville, Gap, Malvern and Paoli, Pennsylvania.

She enjoyed gardening, bird-watching and solving crossword puzzles. She had various pets over the years, both dogs and cats. More recently, her beagle Daisy occupied a special place in her heart.

Mrs. Waite is survived by her sons, George C. Waite III of Bel Air and Stephen P. Waite of West Haven, CT; daughter Susan W. Smith of Portland, OR; two grandchildren, Shannon Fellin of Hummelstown, PA and Jennifer Waite of Christiana, PA, and three great-grandchildren, Adam, Ryan and Natalia. She is also survived by a nephew, Dan Barto of Philadelphia, PA.
