Dorothy Robinson Greer

DOROTHY MONTELL ROBINSON GREER, age 98, of Bel Air, died at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center on September 11, 2005. She was the beloved wife of the late Garland R. Greer and devoted mother of Kay Parker of Bel Air. Born October 3, 1906, the daughter of the late Clayton R. Robinson and Sarah Montague Blair. Mrs. Greer was a lifelong Harford County resident, and in 1997 awarded the title “Harford County Living Treasure”.

Mrs. Greer graduated from Western Maryland College in 1926 and taught high school in both Dublin and Bel Air. She worked on the ration board during WW II and is a lifetime member of American Legion Post #39 and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Greer is survived by one sister, Sara R. Sullivan of Fallston; granddaughters, Elizabeth M. Alpert of Denver, Colorado and Patricia P. Hott of Bel Air. In addition, four great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews survive her.
