Dorothy R. Faber

DOROTHY R. FABER, age 85, of Bel Air, MD, died on April 18, 2008 at Gilchrist Center in Towson, MD. Born in Caldwell, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Hershey and Dorothy Ashley Ross and wife of the late Dr. Richard F. Faber, D.V.M. She worked with Dr. Sheldon Leibowitz, an optometrist in Bel Air, for about 25 years and also helped her husband, Dr. Richard F. Faber, D.V.M., owner of the Rock Spring Veterinary clinic for 20 years, as a veterinary assistant. She was active in the Bel Air Women's Club and was a member of the advisory board of Harford Hospice. For many years she enjoyed spending the cold winter months in Key West, FL with her husband. She was a devoted mother and a very proud grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Faber is survived by two sons, Richard F. Faber and his wife, Raynor, of New Bern, NC and Jonathan R. Faber of Bohemia, NY; two daughters, Leslie A. Faber of Bel Air, MD and Ashley F. Edelman and her husband, Larry, of Denver, CO; a brother, Jonathan Ross of Curituck, NC; two sisters, Helen Staley of St. Michaels, MD and Elizabeth Higgins of Wayne, PA; four grandchildren, Devin Kimmel of Annapolis, MD, Casey Edelman of Denver, CO, Dona Neal of Abingdon, MD, and Megan Guanti of Bel Air, MD; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Martha N. Faber.
