Dorothy P. Whitaker

DOROTHY P. WHITAKER, age 80, of Forest Hill, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on April 9, 2004. Born in Luray, Virginia; she was the daughter of the late Elden Virgil and Geneva May Dofflemeyer Rickard and the wife of the late James A. Whitaker. She had worked in sales at J.C. Penney and had retired after 25 years of service.

Mrs. Whitaker is survived by two sons, James M. Whitaker of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; Mitchel L. Whitaker of Annapolis; one daughter, Donna P. Rymer of Bel Air; three sisters, Margaret Baliles of Luray, Virginia; Vivian Slye Luray, Virginia; Barbara Jennings of Luray, Virginia; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Nancy Goode.
