Dorothy Juanita Mitzel

Dorothy Juanita Mitzel, age 78, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on April 30, 2023 at Orchard Hill Rehabilitation Center in Towson, Maryland. Born in Delta, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Claude and Eleanor Clara (Kegley) Harrington and wife of the late Charles H. Mitzel, Sr. A homemaker and secretary for the family business, she was a devout Christian and enjoyed attending her local church each week. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids and cherished any time she got to spend with her family. She loved to be outdoors and her family has fond memories of her swimming in the creek. Dorothy lived a simple life and loved to laugh.  Her hobbies included collecting marbles, coloring, completing puzzle books and reading.

Dorothy is survived by sons, Ramon (Nicole) Ramirez, Jeff (Carolyn) Ramirez, Charles Mitzel, Jr. (Michele), and Harry Mitzel; daughter, Sylvia (Robert) Long; stepsons, Charles "Sonny" (Terry) Mitzel, Ralph Mitzel, and John (Rachelle) Mitzel; stepdaughter, Francis Roe; and sisters, Eleanor Louise Reinhart and Nancy (Gary) E. Linderborn. In addition, she is survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Eddie Mitzel; stepdaughters, Betty Mitzel and Helen Jane Boyle; stepsons, Tommy Mitzel and William "Bill" Mitzel; brothers, James L. Harrington and Joseph A. Harrington; and sister, Mildred Lois Ailes.
