Dorothy M. Hartley

Dorothy Hartley, age 89, of Bel Air, MD, died on February 9, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baldwin, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Alfred Snider and Carrie May Wilhauck Rader, and wife of the late Phleet G. Hartley. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, she worked in the cafeteria at Bel Air High School for 10 years, and with Sears & Roebuck for 1 ½ years. She raised African Violets and loved to travel, having gone to the lower 48 states, including Mexico and Canada.

Mrs. Hartley is survived by her son, William G. Hartley of Dover, PA; sisters, Margaret G. Hartlove of Jarrettsville, MD and Helen R. Russell of Dilley, TX; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Ruth L. DeZwart and Laura Warner; and brothers, Allen, Carl, Harvey, Emory, and Robert Snider.

Pallbearers were Larry Hartley, Scott Hartley, William Hartley, William Hartley Jr., Michael Bailey, and George Nevins.
