Dorothy Helen Iannantuono, age 84, of Abingdon, MD passed away on August 28, 2021 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Leo Stanley and Frances (Lewandowski) Strzegowski, and wife of the late Salvatore Gerald Iannantuono with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Baltimore, MD. Dorothy was an avid duck pin and ten pin bowler for over 50 years, enjoying the sport of bowling well into her eighties. She enjoyed a lifetime of crafts including pottery, painting, ceramics, and needle work. She donated generously to many charities, particularly those associated with Veterans of the US Military.
Always active, Dorothy loved line dancing, even into her early seventies. She embraced a second career as a Product Demonstrator at Costco / CDS – a career which would span over 30 years. She adored her colleagues and customers at Costco / CDS, welcoming many into her personal life over the years. She will also be missed by her Shih Tzu, Coco. Above all, she cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. The family would also like to thank the caring staff of Amedisys Hospice for all the help they provided in this transitional time.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Dana (Danny Wiseman) Iannantuono; two sons, Michael (Jessica Rasino) Anthony Iannantuono and Brian David Iannantuono; grandson, Sean Alexander Iannantuono; and granddaughter, Michelle (Austin Butts) Lynn Iannantuono.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Strzegowski.
