Dorothy Hays Young

Dorothy Hays Young, age 98, of Bel Air, MD, died on August 31, 2010 at Brightview Assisted Living in Bel Air. Born in Fallston, MD, she was the daughter of the late Hutchinson Winfield Hays and Anna Noble Mitchell, and wife of the late Jacob Garrison Young. She taught for the Harford County Public School System, and was a member of the Chimney Corner Club and Christ Our King Presbyterian Church. She was a past board member of Steppingstone Museum and the Harford County Historical Society.

Mrs. Young is survived by her sons, Donald H. Young and wife, Susan, of Bel Air, MD and Richard H.L. Young of North East, MD; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald Hays.
