Dorothy Hawkins Starr

Dorothy Hawkins Starr, age 99, of Bel Air, MD, formerly of Fallston, died on November 3, 2008 at Victorian Estates, Bel Air, MD. Born in Churchville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Stanton and Georgia Foard Hawkins and wife of the late Walter Russell Starr. A resident of Harford County all her life, she was a member of Grandview Christian Church, and a former member of Mountain Christian Church. She worked hard all her life and enjoying fishing, gardening, and working with crafts.

Mrs. Starr is survived by sons, W. Robert Starr and Marshall "Sonny" Starr, both of Fallston, MD; daughters, Elaine Sims of Aberdeen, MD, Ruth S. Magness of Bel Air, MD, and Helen S. Kunkel of Abingdon, MD; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Sims, David Magness, James Kunkel, Paul Walker, Martin Nurse, and DeWayne Curry.
