Dorothy "Dixie" Mabel Dixon, age 92, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on February 7, 2016 at her home. Born in Rugby, VA, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ollie M. (Osborne) Henderson and wife of the late Mack Dixon. She had worked in Civil Service at Aberdeen Proving Ground where she was a manager at the PX. She also worked at Georgetown North where her specialty was baking pies and cakes, including the Chocolate Seduction pie which all of Bel Air loved. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Aberdeen Post #128 where she liked to play bingo. She enjoyed Manna House lunches at Bel Air United Methodist Church on Wednesdays and was an avid Orioles fan. She loved doting over her family and always put them first.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by her sons, Robert Gwynn Dixon and wife Rachel, of Churchville, Stanley Frank Dixon and wife Jane, of Street and Garry Mack Dixon and wife Debbie Kay, of Riverview, FL; daughter, Carol Puleio Gladden and husband Marion, of Salisbury; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Joyce Marie Hess and her brother, Lester Henderson.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hess, Steven Hess, Gary Clark, Eric Puleio, Brian Dixon and Brent Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to Bel Air United Methodist Church, Manna House, 21 Linwood Avenue, Bel Air, MD 21014.
