Dorothy Bennett

Dorothy Bennett, age 72, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on January 16, 2020 at her home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Margaret Winnie (Streater) Wellmann and husband of the late Samuel Errol Bennett Sr. She was a member of Grandview Christian Church for 33 years where she was active in the Ladies' Circle and Bible studies. She was a registered nurse and retired from Harbor Hospital where she worked in the Labor and Delivery department after 35 years of service. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy, shopping, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Samuel E. Bennett, Jr. of Bel Air and his wife, Rebecca and Mark A. Bennett of Berkeley Springs, WV and his fiancée, Roxann Karopchinsky; five grandchildren, Kourtney, Cody, Margo, Sarah, and Sam; four great-grandchildren, Macie, Kirra, Michael, and Gabriel; sister, Margaret Smelser; and brother, Charles Wellmann.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, Kyle Bennett and sister, Eloise Zimmers.
