Dorothy Ann Palmer, age 80, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 20, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gerald M. and Melba Christian Davis Hart. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, she worked in fashion publicity in New York, Washington D.C., and Baltimore. Then, while raising her children, she worked as the office manager for her husband's dental practice in Bel Air. In later years, she worked with her son as an antique dealer, operating Violet Bank Antiques.
Mrs. Palmer is survived by her husband of 54 years, James E. Palmer of Bel Air, MD; her daughter, Amanda Ann Palmer Julson and her husband, Bradley D. Julson, of Bryan, TX; son, Christopher James Palmer and his wife, Jennifer L. Bailey Palmer, of Abingdon, MD; and four grandchildren, Evan, Dannika, Dale, and Ben Julson.
A memorial service will be held later in the summer.
