Doris Evelyn Peyton (nee Kraft)

In loving memory of Doris Evelyn Peyton (nee Kraft), 75, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, who peacefully passed away at home on February 20, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Doris was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to George and Anna (Butt) Kraft, and she was the cherished wife of the late William Peyton, Jr.

 Doris was a proud alumna of North Harford High School, Class of 1967. She began a career as a blueprint operator and continued into different areas of manufacturing. Her zest for life was reflected in her diverse interests, from the camaraderie of bowling at Perry Hall Lanes to the thrill of an occasional bingo and the joy of simple pleasures of card games. Doris loved cooking and preparing delicious meals for the family and nurturing her garden in the Spring. A true matriarch, Doris was delighted in family gatherings and shared memories and laughter. 

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughters, Jennifer L. Peyton and Kimberly A. Reed (Peyton); her beloved grandchildren, Mindy Ann Martin, Andrea Lynn Peyton, Chloe Elizabeth Peyton, and William Edward Mueller; her dear sisters, Nancy Roark of Abingdon, VA, Ann Hensley of Arcadia, FL, and JoAnn (Gilbert) Bedwell of Blountville, TN; as well as her cherished brother, Anthony (Barbara) Kraft of Pylesville, MD. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Doris is preceded in death by brothers, George Kraft III and John Kraft, her sisters, Mary Hawks and Linda Latham and her brothers-in-law, Tony Roark, Sr., and Kenneth Hensley, Sr.
