Doris P. Monks

DORIS P. MONKS, age 71, of Bel Air, died in St. Joseph Medical Center on August 10, 2004. Born in West Grove, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late James Clay and Anna Mae Locke Adams. She had retired after 45 years of service with Brown, Brown, and Brown as a legal secretary. She was a member of the Churchville Presbyterian Church in Churchville and a member of the Kissing Cousins Lunch Group. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling.

Mrs. Monks is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ross T. Monks; two daughters, Linda J. McElwain of Norrisville; Susan E. Dootson of Columbia, South Carolina; one sister, Eulala M. Durman of Bel Air; three grandchildren, Brian S. McElwain of Norrisville; Leslie E. McElwain of Norrisville; and Jonathan L. Dootson of Columbia, South Carolina.

Pallbearers will be: Don Macky, Brian McElwain, Steve McElwain, George Clark, Jeff Dootson, and Carl Matson.
