Doris Katherine Kohl

Doris Katherine Kohl, age 70, a resident of Manor Care of Dulaney, and formerly of Abingdon, MD, died on September 17, 2010 at Gilchrist Center in Towson, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Stanford and Florence Evaline Rader Miller and wife of the late James Kohl. Growing up in Parkville, she had worked for Kingsville Pharmacy under Doc Sears, and at Scarff's Store, and had been considered Delegate Scarff's assistant. She also was a candy striper for the original St. Josephs Hospital, and had worked as a dietary aide for Fallston General Hospital. She was a past member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kingsville.

Mrs. Kohl is survived by her son, James Kohl Jr. and wife, Sheryl Davis Kohl, of Abingdon, MD; daughter, Connie D. Smith and husband, Walter, of Williamsport, PA; brother, Robert Miller and wife, Jacqueline, of Delta, PA; and three grandchildren, Zachary, Jacqueline, and Brandon Smith, all of Williamsport, PA.
