Doris E. Ellinger

Doris E. Ellinger, age 71, of Havre de Grace, Maryland passed away on April 1, 2020 at her home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of George McCann and Doris (Carter) Burns and wife of the late John Ellinger. Doris retired from the Maryland Transportation Authority where she worked as a toll collector for many years. She was also a beautician/cosmetologist. She enjoyed singing bluegrass and gospel music and making flower arrangements. She was also a member of Emmorton Baptist Church.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Crystal Wise; grandchildren, Michael Heeke, Natalie Jones, Adrianna Jones, Joshua Jones, Cody Hartman and Danielle Hartman; great-grandchildren, Dominic Jones, Carmen Jones Kerns, Gabriella Jones Kerns and Dexter Amato; sisters, Patricia Hushon, Debbie Yonce and Rachel Swearingen; and brother, Donald McCann.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Allen Jones and daughter, Nicole Renea Bryan.
