Dora B. Burke

DORA McKENERY GINEVAN BURKE, age 82, of Bel Air, MD, died on April 11, 2008 at her home. Born in Wiley Ford, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Hamilton McKenery and the late Lula Marie Ryan Shanholtz, and wife of the late Ralph B. Burke. She grew up on a farm in West Virginia and moved to Baltimore in the 1950's where she worked for Paramount Photos, Moore's Book Bindery, and finally at Optic Bindery in Glen Burnie, where she was a machinist. She retired in 1986 and lived in Harford County for ten years. She loved to work puzzles, travel, and gardening. Her family said she never shied away from hard work.

Mrs. Burke is survived by three daughters, Barbara Inglese and her husband, Joseph, of Long Island, NY, Jenny Johnson and her husband, Ernie, of Bel Air, MD, and Deborah Russell and her husband, David, of Bel Air, MD; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Ginevan of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister-in-law, Katherine McKenery of Slanesville, WV; six grandchildren, Thomas and Robin Ginevan of Myrtle Beach, SC, Diana Inglese of Long Island, NY, Joseph Inglese Jr. of Rochester, NY, Marie Russell of Bel Air, MD, and Timothy Johnson and his wife, Jennifer, of Aberdeen, MD; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Robert E. Ginevan, a brother, William Franklin McKenery, and a sister, Joyce Kidwell.

Pallbearers were David Russell, Ernie Johnson, Timothy Johnson, Joseph Inglese, Joseph Inglese Jr., and Dick McKenery.
