Donny Bromley

Donny Bromley, age 83, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on September 16, 2021. Born in Plattsburgh, New York, he was the son of the late Robert D. and Eleanor M. (Brunell) Bromley and husband of Bonnie Sue (Burdette) Bromley. Donny graduated from Bel Air High School in 1956, where he excelled in sports and had his own dance band. He attended Harford Community College and was the Vice President of the very first class. He also attended Syracuse University. Donny married the love of his life, Bonnie Sue Burdette, on June 25, 1960. He served in the Army National Guard from 1955 to 1958. He retired from the US Army Chemical Research Development and Engineering Center (CRDEC), Munitions Division, Edgewood Arsenal, APG after 38 years. He received numerous outstanding performance awards for his excellence in value engineering and for his significant contributions to the success of the CRDEC Engineering Program. He also enjoyed working with the Bel Air High School Band Boosters, antiques, coaching sports and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife, Donny is survived by his two daughters, Carolyn (Corry) Shedd of California, Cynthia (Todd) Isaacson of Idaho; two sons, Stephen (Donna) Bromley of Pennsylvania, and Jeffrey (Elise) Bromley of Florida; brother, Robert D (Linda) Bromley; sister, Linda Moulton; 11 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Keith D. Bromley.
