Donald William Roeseke, age 81, of Bel Air, MD passed away on June 1, 2019. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of John and Helen (Shauck) Roeseke. He attended Georgia Tech for his Undergraduate degree and received his Master’s in Water Resources Planning from Cornell University. He started his career at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as the Chief of the Environmental Branch in the Planning Division overseeing the Susquehanna River Basin and the Potomac River Basin. He then transferred to the Chief of Engineers Office in Washington D.C. He ended his career in Baltimore as the Chief of the Regulatory Branch. During his career, he proudly received an award placing him in the Baltimore District Corps of Engineers Gallery of Distinguished Employees. He retired after 35 years of service dedicated to protecting the wetlands. He enjoyed playing golf and poker with friends, was an avid reader, took numerous trips to Europe with his wife, and spent quality time with his grandchildren.
Don is survived by his loving spouse Barbara McFadden Roeseke; son, Donald W. Roeseke, Jr. (Allan C. Stein); daughter, Renae S. Pellerin (Mike); brother, John F. Roeseke, Jr.; stepson, C. Scott Sewell (Stacey); and two granddaughters, Kendall Noelle Sewell and Khloe Madeline Sewell. He was preceded in death by his first born, Jan Therese Roeseke.
