Donald L. Irey

Donald L. Irey, age 94, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on July 30, 2021 at Brightview Avondell in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Decatur, Indiana, he was the son of Paul and Elma (Miller) Irey, and husband of the late Sandra Jean Irey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving just after WWII. He was a lifetime member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at The University of Miami. He worked as a Chemist as well as a Human Resource Manager. Donald enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family. He loved to travel. He was loving, kind, patient, and loyal.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Jane (Patrick) Welsh of Pennsylvania, Lyn (Parker) Boone of Havre de Grace, and Suzanne Irey of Bel Air; a stepdaughter Sherri (Chris) Nettles of Bel Air; 7 grandchildren, Emily (Scott) Stone, Megan (Aaron) Wiggins, Ginny Boone, Nathan Boone, Elsie Boone, Winter Nettles, and Kate Nettles; 5 great grandchildren; and other loving relatives, friends and caregivers.
