DONALD JAMES KREINER, age 77, of Bel Air, MD, died at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD on October 9, 2007. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Harry John and Anna Marie Leonard Kreiner. He excelled at his masonry business where it began as Kreiner and Edwards Masonry and later became Kreiner Masonry. He was a perfectionist at what he did and took pride in the properties he owned and rented. He loved traveling after retirement, going to antique auctions, and crabbing with his son. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, Bel Air, MD where he was very active. He was a very compassionate man who did a tremendous amount of charity work. He served in the National Guard.
Mr. Kreiner is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bonita Greer Kreiner; a son, D. Bartholomew G. Kreiner of Bel Air, MD; two grandchildren, D. Bartholomew G. Kreiner II and Sheppard Patrick D. Kreiner, both of Bel Air, MD; sister-in-law, Evelyn Kreiner of Forest Hill, MD; a nephew, Jerry Kreiner of Port Orange, FL; and a niece, Kathy Caswell of Fallston, MD.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Gerald J. Kreiner.
Pallbearers will be H. Wade Edwards, Henry Guercio, George A. Harkins, Grover Kershner, D. Bartholomew G. Kreiner, D. Bartholomew G. Kreiner II, Sheppard P. D. Kreiner, and Burdess Sawyers. Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Polt, T. Scott Zacker, William B. Richardson, Robert Laurence Bryant, and S. Frank Dixon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Margaret Catholic Church, 141 Hickory Ave., Bel Air, MD 21014.
