Donald F. Haga

Donald F. Haga, age 90, of Bel Air, Maryland was called into the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 23, 2023 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Don was born in Atkins, Virginia, he was the son of Eli Henry and Annie Belle (Haga) Haga. His family moved to Harford County when he was 9 years old.  During his early life he worked on various farms in Harford, Cecil and Baltimore County. After serving in the U.S. Army he pursued other occupations.  He worked at Lutzs Appliances and for Philips TV for several years.  His final job was for Harford County Public Schools in the Facilities Department as a service technician.  He retired in 1999 and enjoyed his retirement. He was baptized at age 19 and became a devoted member of Upper Cross Roads Baptist Church for 71 years.

Don had many things that he enjoyed.  He loved riding his bike whenever he got a chance.  Listening to Southern Gospel music and attending Southern Gospel music concerts. He loved to travel, and over the years, had crisscrossed the United States three times.      

Don is survived by his wife, Fran; two brothers, George Haga and Harold Haga and stepdaughter, Judith Sherman. He had many nephews, nieces, and cousins that he loved dearly.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, June Coomes, brother, Eli Haga Jr., and first wife, Mary Haga.
