Donald H. Knode, Sr.

Donald Henry Knode, Sr., age 87, of Frederick, Maryland passed away on January 29, 2021 at Carroll Hospice Center in Westminster, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late John L. and Edna C. (Graeser) Knode and husband of 64 years to the late Jane Alverta Knode, who passed in December of last year. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Don was a longtime member of the Bel Air United Methodist Church and over the past 5 years was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Frederick. He was a member and Past Master of Mt. Ararat Masonic Lodge #44, Bel Air. Don was Past Supreme Tall Cedar of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon North America and Past Grand Tall Cedar of Har-Ce Forest #142. He was also Past Patron of Harford Chapter #83, Order of the Eastern Star. Don retired in 1991 from AAI Corporation as a supervisor of the Parts Analysis Group. He enjoyed traveling, trips to the beach, spending time with family, the fellowship activities with the masonic organization he belonged to, and being an Orioles fan.

Don is survived by his son, Donald Knode, Jr. of Marriottsville and his wife, Tracey; daughter, Gail Coppersmith of Westminster and her husband, Mark; brother, Robert Knode; three grandchildren, Haley Knode, Sarah (Brad) Crawford, and Matthew Coppersmith; and great-grandchildren, Keegan and Briella.
