Donald R. Fleck

Donald R. Fleck, age 94, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away on January 8, 2024, at Union Hospital in Elkton, Maryland. Born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Robert and Emma (Burd) Fleck and the beloved husband of the late Annabelle (Noel) Fleck. Don was a founding member of Winters Run Golf Club and found great joy in playing golf. His cherished moments included vacationing at the beach with his family. Don dedicated a significant part of his life to his work at Edgewood Arsenal as a Technical Writer, where he retired in 1997.  Even in retirement, he remained active, keeping himself busy with various pursuits.

Donald is survived by his loving daughter, Vicki L. Krcha; devoted son, Donald R. Fleck Jr.; and adored grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Petrila, Cody William Krcha, Connor Elles Krcha, and Donald Richard Fleck III; Great grandchildren, Anna Petrila, Charlotte Petrila, Mabelle Fleck and Donald Fleck IV.

In addition to his wife and parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Fleck.
