Donald F. Laye

Donald F. Laye, a lifelong resident of Havre de Grace passed away on 7 June 2014 at the age of 91. Donald was a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific with United States Marine Corps Combat Engineers. Following the war he entered civilian service at the Edgewood Arsenal where he retired in 1975. Born to the late Randolph Laye and Lenora Fadeley, he was the last remaining survivor of 11 siblings. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean of 50 years in 2006 and grandson Donald of Jacksonville, Florida in 2013.

He is survived by his son Donald, wife Ruth Ann and grandsons David and Aaron of Jacksonville, Florida; son Randolph, wife Kathy of Bel Air, Maryland; grandson Wade, wife Kelly, and great grandchildren Charlotte, Jack, and Peter of Edgewater, Maryland and grandson Adam, wife Sarah and great granddaughter Ida Jean of Baltimore, Maryland.
