Donald Combs

Donald Combs, age 77, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 15, 2017 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Bennettsville, SC, he was the son of Gilmer Miles Combs and Fern Elsie (Liddle) Combs. He served our country in the U.S. Marines and was a member of American Legion Post #39 in Bel Air. He loved baseball and was an avid history buff. He enjoyed time spent with his family, traveling, and service to his community.

Mr. Combs is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sandra S. Combs (nee Hammons); son, Evan (Renee) S. Combs of Whiteford; daughter, Megan (Richard) B. Thacker of White Hall; step-daughter, Stephanie R. Overton of Jacksonville, FL; step-son, Charles (Barbara) L. Slusher of Kingsville; sister, Regina (Jim) Moore of Freeland; sister-in-law, Shirley Combs of Bel Air; and grandchildren, Katlyn N. Combs, Joseph M. Combs, Abigail M. Combs, Emma V. Beck, Ethan G. Beck, Zachary K. Overton, Charles E. Slusher, Amy B. Slusher and Edward C. Slusher.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Willard Combs.
