DONALD C. BAKER, age 60, of Bel Air, MD, died on November 16, 2006, at Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Meyersdale PA, he was the son of Arlen E. and Nell M. Beal Baker of Bel Air, MD. He was a 1964 graduate from Salisbury Elk Lick High School in Salisbury, PA. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Baker retired as a lieutenant after serving over 24 years in the Harford County Sheriff’s Department. He also served on the Montgomery County Police Department, as well as, the Maryland State Police. Mr. Baker was 1982 graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. He graduated from Towson University with a degree in Psychology and Sociology and obtained his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore. After retirement, he worked at Loyola College and obtained the rank of Major. Mr. Baker also worked for Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Carolynn G. Baker of Bel Air, MD; one son, James D. Baker of Bel Air, MD; two brothers, Gary S. Baker and his wife, Buttons, of Bel Air, MD, and Randy L. Baker of Bel Air, MD; one sister, Deborah S. Wyatt of Bel Air, MD; Aunt Mary and Uncle Budd Diveley of Johnstown, PA, and his significant other, Melissa Reddin and her daughter, Jamie Gibson, both of Bel Air, MD.
Pallbearers were James Baker, Gary Baker, Randy Baker, Christopher Baker, Brett Cochran and Ryan Orsini.
