Donald Benson Downs

DONALD BENSON DOWNS, age 72, of Edgewood, died in Perry Point Veterans Hospital on October 3, 2005. Born in Maryland, he was the son of the late Clarence and Byola Parks Downs, and the husband of the late Carolyn Virginia Hook Downs. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in general construction. He was a loving father, devoted husband, and very giving of his time to help people. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1953-55. He was a boxer in the Marine Corp.

Mr. Downs is survived by three sons, Donald G. Downs and his wife, Wendy M. Downs of Edgewood, Charles W. Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Sandra J. of Essex, and Michael A. Wilson, Sr. and his wife, Denise of Essex; one daughter, Donna M. Downs of Edgewood; 10 grandchildren, Charles A. Wilson of Dover, DE, Justin C. Wilson of Essex, Michael A. Wilson, Jr. of VA, Eugene A. Wilson of VA, Joshua A. Wilson of Largo, MD, Shawn M. Wilson of Largo, MD, Michael A. Wilson, III of Essex, Danielle M. Downs of Edgewood, Deanna A. Downs of Edgewood, and Alivia M. Downs of Edgewood. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.
