Donald Thomas Beavers, Sr.

Donald Thomas Beavers, Sr., age 92, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024. Born in Renick, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Sallie (Harrison) Beavers and the devoted husband of Elaine M. Beavers, with whom he shared 71 wonderful years of marriage.

Donald honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, where he was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Tarawa. He was a proud veteran who cherished his service and his country. Donald had a passion for the outdoors and spent countless happy hours hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature.

He is survived by his beloved wife Elaine; his children, Donald T. Beavers, Jr. (Dee Ann), Jeffrey M. Beavers (Catherine), and Yvonne Peirce (Daniel); and his cherished grandchildren, Melanie Diggs, Michele Hanson, Erica De Witt, and Zachary Beavers. Donald also leaves behind his loving sisters, Sally DiMauro, Jo Ann Neely, and Jackie Harrison.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sisters, Billie Edwards, Ella Tucker, and Del.

Donald’s life was a testament to love, service, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
