Donald Alexander

Donald David Alexander, age 89, of Parkville, MD passed away on January 27, 2016 at Oak Crest Village in Parkville. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Walter Spurrier Alexander and Gladys Romaine (Cooper) Smith. Later his family moved to Glen Arm in 1966. He loved his family, was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served in WWII, and was the owner and operator of Alexander Associates. In his younger years he was active in square dancing. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and visited many destinations all over the world.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife of 69 years, Edna May (Werther) Alexander; daughter, Jeanne Sturtevant and husband, Jack, of Southport, NC; son, David Alexander and wife, Laura, of Bel Air; grandchildren, Steve Sturtevant, Katie Long and Bryan Alexander; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte Sturtevant, Alexandra Sturtevant and Emory Sturtevant.

A memorial service and interment will be held at Emmanuel Church, Bel Air, MD February 8 at 11:00 a.m.
