Donald A. "Tony" Mackenzie

May 25, 1962 — November 19, 2019

Donald A. "Tony" MacKenzie, age 57, of Churchville, Maryland passed away on November 19, 2019 at his home. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, he was the son of Donald Grant MacKenzie the late Marianne (Bernardini) Ibarra and husband of Leah Michelle MacKenzie. He worked for 16 years with Johnson Controls and he was a devoted employee of the Harford Family House. He was truly committed to his work and deeply passionate about helping the families through his work. He was a patient teacher who loved showing his children and grandchildren how things worked, especially when working with his hands. Tony was a 2018 graduate of the Harford Leadership Academy. He felt honored to have the opportunity to be part of this program. He loved camping, spending time outside, and talking around a campfire. Tony was the happiest when surrounded by his family and friends.

In addition to his father, wife and step mom, Shirley Ann MacKenzie, Tony is survived by daughters, Kayla (John) Nicolle Proctor and Melanie Elizabeth MacKenzie; sons, Adam Jacob MacKenzie and Matthew David Piper; grandchildren, Lennox Owen and Josslyn McKinley Proctor; sisters, Deborah (Garrett) Alexander and Julianna (Eddie) Harman-McCaig; brothers, Phillip (Sherry) and James (Vicky) MacKenzie, and Lewis (Sandy) Harman; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brother, Timothy MacKenzie and sister, Rebecca Schroll.
