Don Bittinger

Don Bittinger, 82, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on December 30, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in McHenry, MD, he was the son of the late Walter Edward and Bernadette Rosell Seabold Bittinger, and was the husband, for 32 years, of the late Willavenne "Beanie" Ashby. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had retired, after 30 years, from the State of Maryland where he worked as a Park Ranger. He was also a member of the Fallston Ruritan Club.

Mr. Bittinger is survived by his sons, Eric E. Bittinger of Jarrettsville and Todd A. Bittinger of Abingdon; daughters, Donna Y. Ziegler of Street, Pamela D. Bittinger and her husband, Erik "E Man" Ferber, of Abingdon; brothers, Carlton W. Bittinger and Walter C. Bittinger both of Oakland; sisters, Bernadette A. Reckart of Romney, WV and Patricia C. Carter of Oakland; three grandchildren, John and Jarrett Ziegler and Evan Bittinger; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Ziegler.
