Dolores Kathryn Barker

Dolores K. Barker (nee Merriken), 83, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on April 7, 2015 at Little Sisters of the Poor in Catonsville, MD where she received loving care during her last few months before going home to the Lord. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy B. Merriken Sr. and Marie Anna Spangler Merriken. She graduated from St. Agnes Nursing School in 1953 and then worked at St. Agnes Hospital, later working at Charlestown Retirement Community.

Ms. Barker is survived by her son, Msgr. James M. Barker; sister-in-law Dolores Merriken; and several nieces. She is also survived by loving friends, dear neighbors, and loving parishioners at St. Ignatius Church in Hickory. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, LeRoy B. Merriken Jr. and Edward K. Merriken Sr.
