Dixie D. Sullivan

Dixie D. Sullivan, 83, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away on July 4, 2015 at Bel Air Assisted Living in Bel Air, MD. Born in Ashe County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Preston Harrison VanHoy and Martha Ina (Waddell) VanHoy. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved Bluegrass music, country music and line dancing.

Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her husband, Golden L. Sullivan; daughters, Diania Bandy (Gene) of Rising Sun, Teresa Jones (Thomas) of Forest Hill and Joan Freburger (Chuck) of Forest Hill; sister, Treva Ostrowski of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Kimberly Bandy, Peter Ruff, Mallory Ruff and Jonathan Freburger; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Carson Ruff, and Aura Kruschke; stepchildren, Gary Sullivan (Brenda) of Abingdon, Ron Sullivan (Gail) of Joppa and Gayle Sullivan (Ronnie) of Riverside; step-grandchildren, Lisa Samples, Mark Nixon and Chris Sullivan; and six step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Charles Edward McNeave, and siblings, Wilma, Roy, Thelma, Rondie, Dwight, Lanis, Pauline, Nevada and Doris.
