Richard "Dick" Tittle, age 71, of Jarrettsville, MD, died on October 1, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Rocks, MD, he was the son of the late William Franklin Tittle Sr. and Mable Augusta Watters Tittle. A lifelong resident of Harford County, he had worked as a foreman for BGE for 35 years and for an additional 15 years with V.S.I, a subcontractor of BGE. He was a jack of all trades, a collector of anything, and a mentor to many people.
Mr. Tittle is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Lee Woolford Tittle of Jarrettsville, MD; his children, Denise L. Tittle-Hughes and husband, Errol, Richard Howard Tittle Jr. and wife, Jeanne M. and Rhonda V. Tittle–Harris all of Jarrettsville, MD; brothers, Clarence Tittle and wife, Shirley M., of Jarrettsville, MD and William Tittle Jr. of Bel Air, MD; sisters, Hermoine Horsey of Aberdeen, MD, Eva T. Brown of Randallstown, MD and Mable A. Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Tittle and Deborah Hargrove; brothers-in-law, George Woolford and wife, Dena, Wallace Woolford and wife, Jean; five grandchildren, Brittany Harris, Zachary Tittle Hughes, Taylor N. Hughes, Nicholas R. Tittle and Brandon L. Tittle, all of Jarrettsville, MD; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, George W. Tittle and a sister, Mary Tittle Williams; brothers-in-law, Vincent Hargrove, Maurice L. Horsey, Jr. and sister-in-law, Mary Tittle.
