Dick Emerson

March 9, 1937 — April 16, 2007

Richard Curlett Emerson, better known as “Tricky Dickie” of Bel Air died from a year long battle with cancer April 16 in his home at the age of 70.

Born in Baltimore he was the son of the late Roy D. and Edith M. Emerson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Carol Emerson. After retiring from AT&T he spent the last 15 years delivering flowers for Richardson’s Florist. He enjoyed trains, bird watching, gardening and spending time with his five grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Dickie is also survived by his daughter Karen Colgain and husband Joe of White Hall, his daughter Kim Dodson and husband Brian of Bel Air, his son Kevin Emerson and wife Michele of Bel Air and his grandchildren Chase and Katelynn Colgain, of White Hall, MD, Ashley and Jaret Dodson, of Bel Air, MD and Sean Emerson of Bel Air, MD. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Sarah Emerson.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Emerson, Brian Dodson, Joe Colgain, Chase Colgain, Jaret Dodson, Sean Emerson and Tom Liberto.
