Diane P. Anderson

DIANE P. ANDERSON, formerly of Bel Air, died on February 23, 2003 at Mariner Health Care of Forest Hill. She was 86.

Born in New York City on October 7, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Theresa Kacheray and Joseph Podlesney, and the wife of the late Russell S. Anderson. She attended Iowa State University and New York University where she studied nutrition. After marriage she became a homemaker and lived in Alexandria, Virginia and Rockville, Maryland before moving to Bel Air in 1959. She was a strong advocate of child and animal welfare, and environmental protection. She was a member of A.A.R.P. and N.A.R.F.E.

Mrs. Anderson was predeceased by one son, Bruce R. Oliver of Joppa. She is survived by two sons, Martin R. Anderson of Aberdeen; P. Scott Anderson of Churchville; one daughter, Diane J. Spear of Forest Hill; four grandchildren, Jeanne Allison; Ellen Gross; and Heather Davis, all of Bel Air; and Joshua Anderson of Baltimore; six great-grandchildren; and a longtime companion, Jack Davis.
